Mini Japanese Rice Bag

I sewed another Japanese Rice Bag (Komebukuro) using Japanese cotton fabric for the lining and a variety of cotton fabrics from my stash for the outside of the bag which I pieced together boro style.

For the tie closure I used black leather cording and attached moss green ceramic beads on the ends.

The bag has a 4 inch base and stands approximately 6 inches tall.

I used the same technique that I used in a previous bag that I made and posted on September 14. I reduced the size of my pattern and cut my fabric slightly smaller to create the 4 inch base.
