Welcome to the little house by the side of the road...

Tolkien wrote about The Last Homely House East of the Sea ........ “It is a perfect house, whether you like food or sleep, or story-telling or singing, or just sitting and thinking best, or a pleasant mixture of them all. Merely to be there was a cure for weariness, fear and sadness.” As I write from my not so perfect little house by the side of the road I'll be sharing some of my creative hobbies and interests. About Me

Olga Szuplat-Wiese: Join me as I share my joy and discovery of sashiko and sewing komebukuro bags. Possibly some origami, paper crafting, bookbinding and creating Zhen Xian Bao books. Occassional experiences as a novice woodturner and pottery thrower. A little thread art, painting, sketching, mixed media, junk journaling, macramé and some occasional knitting. A variety of sewing projects and perhaps a little 'slow stitching'. I also enjoy taking photos of nature. If you’re a kindred spirit and enjoy vintage and antique items you’re sure to find those here and whatever new discoveries I encounter along the way.
