Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower and every Pumpkin is a lantern
~Albert Camus
These are horseshoes hand forged into a pumpkin by my ever so talented hubby :)
Bat's all folks!
Hope your Halloween is a total scream!
After sifting through a bunch of other stuff in a box, found these guys!
Vintage Lime Green open mouth frog is a scrubby sponge holder...maybe 1960's-80's? The frog on the lotus/lilypad is a planter from the 1940's I believe.
The ribbed beehive design pitcher and bowl are Western Stoneware, probably 1930's. Both marked USA with a maple leaf. The stein and bowl are referred to as Daisy and Dot Dinnerware design by Mar-crest, probably circa 1950's and 60's.
Gets confusing with all the different pottery manufacturers, they were constantly merging. Here is an informative site about Mar-crest Stoneware. and a bit of Western Stoneware History here.
The little chocolate jar in the back is marked USA, circa 1950's. Brown jar on the right is WELLER possibly 1930's. Olive green is marked HALL made in USA 351 1/2, 1930's - 1950's.
Online I've seen these referred to as bean pots, dessert/custard cups and ramekins.
If you're interested in a bit of history on any of these pottery markings just check out Wikipedia.
It’s National Golden Retriever Day 💛 So Goldie decided it was only right to speak on behalf of Golden Retrievers everywhere.
