Botanical Junk Journal ~ Eco Print Cover

Here are 2 short videos of a 4 x 6 inch Botanical Junk Journal I made with an Eco Printed Cover. I used hand tea-dyed parchment papers onto which I printed resized digital images (TheBooksmithShop; Prairie Wildflowers, Collage Collection #1 & #2 & a few ledger papers from AllureBooksCraft) I sewed in the 3 signatures using a 3-hole pamphlet stitch. The little pocket size journal has a total of 60 pages. The journal cover is an Eco-Dyed digital from The Booksmith Shop. For the spine I used bookcloth tape. I added some additional loose journaling pages which are handmade papers with printed images from Medeival Mirage which are from her collection titled Boho Bazaar.

'Fairy Tales' Junk Journal

I made this little 'Fairy Tales' Junk Journal gutting and cutting down an old Readers Digest Book Cover. I printed digital images from The Booksmith Shop (Fairy Tales & Rose Brambles for the inside cover) onto distressed papers. The book measures 4.5 x 5.5 inches and has 5 signatures sewn in using a 4-hole pamphlet stitch. The book has 50 pages with loose handmade papers (digi images from Vintage VibespaperCo) added as additional journaling pages. Includes a few misc. digi images. I've used cork fabric for the interior spine and book-cloth tape for the exterior book spine. I've used a simple velvet tie as a sash for the book.

Bohemian Eclectic Nature Journal

Here's 4 x 5 inch pocket size journal with a hardcover I made a few years ago. I used a pamphlet stitch to sew in the 5 signatures. I printed nature themed digitals onto distressed parchment papers. Creating lots of journals lately...must be in my 'paper crafting' period again :)

Strike While The Iron Is Hot!

As another year rolls around spent an evening going down memory lane and sorting through some old photos.

About 20 years ago my husband and I took a Blacksmith Class together. I completed my first wonky "S" hook! It was a great experience, but not a craft I was interested in pursuing...quite arduous especially in the outdoor summer heat!

My hubby continues the craft as a hobby. He enjoys crafting rustic utilitarian items.

"Raggedies" For My Unembellished Junk Journal !

My first attempt at making 'Raggedies'! Thanks NikThe Booksmith!! Great way to fill up or stuff a plain Junk Journal. Gives the appearance of being stuffed with papers but allows the recipient of the journal the option of keeping the additions or not and using it as just a writing journal if they wish. Nik The Booksmith did a recent tutorial on making Raggedies, check her out! Thanks for watching 🙂
